Dr Richard Tucker - Specialist in Periodontology
Richard qualified with BDS from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, in 1991.
He then worked in private general dental practice in Kent for 6 years.
He subsequently relocated to London to embark on 3 years of specialist training at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute.
In 2003, he joined the practice as a Specialist in Periodontology, limiting his care to periodontics and the surgical aspects of implant dentistry.
Richard is married to Rowena, a Consultant Dermatologist. They love music, theatre and travel. They are also keen snow skiers.
Above all, Richard is a good communicator and enthuses about treating patients using evidence based clinical expertise in a kind and empathetic manner.
Richard works at the practice as a periodontist on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Dr Dina Dedi - Specialist in Prosthodontics
Dina qualified with DipDS from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in Greece, in 1994.
She then received her Specialty Certificate in Prosthodontics and a Master's Degree in Oral Biology from the University of Missouri in Kansas City (UMKC, USA).
Dina also completed a Fellowship in Maxillofacial Prosthetics and Dental Oncology at the University of Texas (MD Anderson Cancer Center, USA) and a Teaching Fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC, USA).
As a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and an Assistant Professor in Prosthodontics at North Carolina, Dina has extensive experience in private practice, postgraduate teaching and research in prosthodontics and implant dentistry.
Her private practice interests include aesthetic dentistry, dental implants, fixed and removable prosthodontics, full-mouth rehabilitation and all-ceramic restorations.
Dina is a Fellow of the International Team of Implantology (ITI), the American College of Prosthodontics, a member of the International College of Prosthodontics and the Academy of Osseointegration.
She is also a Senior Clinical Teacher at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute and lectures internationally on anterior aesthetics and immediate loading of dental implants. Dina speaks fluent English, Greek and French.
Dina is recognised by the General Dental Council as a Specialist in Prosthodontics and works at the practice on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Dr Richard Horwitz – Specialist in Periodontology
Richard qualified with BDS from the University of Sheffield and now limits his clinical practice to periodontology and implant dentistry.
He has worked in general dental practice in London and completed 3 years of specialist training in periodontology at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute.
Richard provides the best personalised care with an evidence based approach to dentistry.
Outside of dentistry, Richard has a keen interest in sport, especially skiing.
Jan Grant - Practice Manager
Jan joined the practice in January 2009 as Practice Manager and PA to Professor Eder.
She has extensive experience in both dental nursing and private practice management in Central London.
Jan is a key member of the team and normally the first point of contact when calling the practice or arriving at the surgery.
Ruth Glover - Dental Hygienist and Therapist
Ruth originally qualified as a Dental Technician at King's College Dental Hospital and worked for fourteen years as a Dental Technician at the Eastman, where she taught on the Masters programmes in Restorative Dentistry.
In 2001 she qualified as a Dental Hygienist and Therapist at the Eastman, and now divides her week between working in the Community Dental Service and Private Practice as well as promoting Continuing Education at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute.
Ruth joined the practice in 2006.
Nicola Cosa - Dental Hygienist and Therapist
Nicola qualified as a Dental Nurse over 15 years ago and has worked in both general and specialist periodontal practices in central London and also in nursing and educational roles at the Eastman.
She has since trained as a Dental Hygienist and Therapist at King's College Dental Hospital. She qualified in 2013 and, based on her success throughout the course, Nicola received an award for Academic Excellence.
Nicola works at the practice three days a week as a Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist providing periodontal and preventative therapy with oral health care advice.
Iwona Singh - Dental Nurse
Iwona joined the practice in January 2012 and has a wealth of experience in both administrative and nursing roles within the dental practice setting.
She qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2005 and successfully completed her Certificate in Oral Health Education, focusing on advice for patients with tooth wear, in 2014.
Iwona primarily assists Professor Eder chair-side and very much enjoys all aspects of restorative dentistry including endodontics, periodontology, implant dentistry and prosthodontics.
Lisa Dolan – Dental Nurse
Lisa is originally from Ireland and moved to London in 2011. She has experience of dental nursing and administration from her work in Ireland.
She completed her dental nurse training in 2010 and also completed the Oral Health Education course in 2013, focusing on periodontal disease and implant periodontitis.
She has worked as a Dental Nurse in London's West End since 2011.
